Orissa bagged five points by virtue of taking first-innings lead against Bihar in their three-day East Zone Ranji Trophy match, which ended in a draw at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack today. By conceding the lead, Bihar settled with three points.
Electing to bat, Orissa rode on a half-century by Sasanka Sekhar Patnaik to make a competitive total of 238. In reply, Bihar were bowled out for 190. Orissa took their overall lead to 184 by mustering 136 in the second innings. Bihar were 149 for five in the second innings when the match ended in draw.
